Clarebout Potatoes is looking for more than 100 technical employees Clarebout is looking for more than 100 new employees for its locations in Nieuwkerke and Waasten. This mainly pertains to technical profiles: workers, engineers and operators. The expansion of personnel is especially necessary due to the increasing demand for potato products and the opening of a new production line after the summer. A large-scale campaign, with the slogan ‘Klaar om er een patat op te geven?’ (Ready to give fries a try?) should attract the necessary applicants.

 

Clarebout is a family business, active in frozen potato products for 30 years and one of the world’s leading players in the industry. It invests strongly in people and in a high-technological production device. The workforce has grown by 57%, more than doubled, in recent years. There are currently 1.400 employees working at the two locations in Nieuwkerke and Waasten.

Market for frozen potato products is growing strongly 

The market for frozen potato products is one of the fastest growing food sectors in Belgium. Clarebout is constantly investing to comply with this increasing demand. Customers are mainly abroad, more than 95% of the production is destined for export. The export of frozen French fries has increased by a third in the past five years. Our region is therefore the best in the world for cultivating potatoes. Clarebout will be looking for more than 100 new employees in the coming months. The expansion of the workforce is necessary to comply with the growing demand. Especially the specialties (special cuts, coatings, etc.) are on the rise.

Many vacancies for technical profiles 

The company is especially looking for workers and technical profiles. Assistants, operators, engineers, … It pertains to both low and highly skilled people in service and managerial positions. And we welcome all profiles, from recent graduates to people over 45.

Large-scale campaign 

It is difficult to find the right employees in an ever-tightening labour market, especially when it comes to technical profiles. Clarebout is therefore often at job fairs and works intensively with the temporary employee agencies sector. The company is now also launching a campaign under the motto ‘Ready to give fries a try?’/ ‘Avez-vous la patate?’. There are radio commercials on NRJ France; there is a Facebook campaign in Flanders and Wallonia; advertisements on bread packets in both Belgium and France; advertisements on buses and bus shelters; a Google Display campaign, etc.
